Dear friends in Armenia,
I want to thank You all for your unique hospitality. I came to your country with the question whether my experiences from the different countries in Europa could be for any interest for people in a culture which was (and still is) quiet unknown for me. From the first day i felt a close connection with You as individuals, but also with the reality and the questions You have as parents and as teachers.
You can be proud of the school in Saryan street. It is a vital institution with skilled and strong teachers and beautiful, open and friendly pupils. They give hope for a bright future for this old and rich culture of your country.
Today I had a long talk with Astrid Bjønness here in Norway, she is also an admirer and supporter of your school. We are both convinced that we will continue the cooperation in the years to come.

ich möchte Ihnen allen für die einzigartige Gastfreundschaft danken, die ich in dieser letzten Januarwoche erleben durfte. Ich kam mit der Frage nach Armenien, ob meine Erfahrungen aus verschiedenen europäischen Ländern relevant seien für Menschen in einer Kultur, die mir weitgehend unbekannt war (und noch immer ist). Vom ersten Tag an fühlte ich mich mit Ihnen verbunden, sowohl mit jedem Einzelnen als auch mit den Fragen und Realitäten, die Sie als Eltern und Lehrern zu mir brachten.
Sie können auf Ihre Schule in der Saryanstrasse stolz sein. Sie ist vital mit ihren tüchtigen, erfahrenen Lehrern und den schönen, offenherzigen und freundlichen Kindern. Sie lassen auf eine gute Zukunft für diese alte und reiche Kultur hoffen.
Heute hatte ich ein langes Gespräch mit Astrid Bjønness, die Ihre Schule schon vor mir bewundert und unterstützt hat. Wir sind beide davon überzeugt, dass unsere Zusammenarbeit mit Ihnen auch in den kommenden Jahren anhalten wid.
